On my dream summer time want listing? To cease by Marigold in Rome, helmed by couple Domenico Cortese (a chef from Calabria) and Sofie Wochner (a baker from Copenhagen), plus a global workforce of baristas, servers, and cooks (“between the kitchen and the eating room,” they are saying, “we communicate seven completely different languages”).

The result’s a restaurant and micro bakery with Roman-meets-Nordic attraction, a store full of house-designed ceramics, and, typically, flowers foraged from the Aurelian partitions on the espresso bar.

Samina weighed in on the interiors, whereas Andrea made the entire picket parts, from the lengthy communal tables all the way down to the stoppers for the water carafes. The espresso bar is wrapped in brass.
